The "BOX BRAID"... Protective Styling so Stylish!!!

Braided styles will always stand the tests of time! Rather it's sharing your love for our African culture, or simply looking for a protective style. Jumbo, lemonade, or boxed; braids have become so fashionable within recent years.
Why is that?

I could remember growing up, corn rows were considered "ghetto"! Relaxers were the way to go in most black households. Now today, you see them all over celebrity's, in magazines and movies. Even those with no African descent are adopting (as always) these gorgeous, hand crafted hair styles.

Although some braided designs take hours to complete, that doesn't stop a lot of our "naturalists" from exploring inexpensive ways to safely grow and protect their hair. Why some call it fashion, us natural girls call it protection!
From what you say?
Well from everyday distortion of our Royal African image for one. Two, protection from heat damage & chemicals. And thirdly, protection from not loving our culture, our heritage and traditions enough!
Braids, regardless of technique, have history. Long before me and you, our ancestors was killing the game with some of the same regurgitated styles you see today!
